NeuroDance Project Workshop in Ljubljana, Slovenija

From March 31 to April 4, 2025, ZRS Koper, the lead partner of the NeuroDance project, organised workshops in Ljubljana with representatives from all partner institutions to jointly improve and refine the NeuroDance programme.

The core of the workshop were “Train the Trainer” sessions, in which future dance trainers learned how to lead classes for Parkinson’s patients. Key points included:

• Interactive teaching methods that engage participants and facilitate skill acquisition.

• Practical demonstrations and exercises for effective knowledge transfer.

• Discussions and collaborative problem-solving to better understand patient needs and intervention strategies.

At the end of the training sessions, participants completed a certification exam to demonstrate their knowledge and readiness to implement the NeuroDance programme.

On the final day, the workshop concluded with a celebratory ceremony to recognise the achievements of all participants. The workshop leaders summarised the key learnings, highlighted best practises, and emphasised the collaborative effort that made the event a success.

The workshop in Ljubljana, organised by ZRS Koper, represented an important milestone for the NeuroDance project; it strengthened the capacities of the partner institutions and promoted the development of tailored dance interventions for patients with Parkinson’s disease. By combining expertise, practical training, and structured evaluation, the project continues to pave the way for innovative, evidence-based approaches in therapeutic dance.
